Wadi Rum Tour with Saleh’s Super Service which was above & beyondSaleh, his wife and son provided an amazing, fun filled, memorable Wadi Rum Tour experience for our family.Saleh provided an extremely competitive 4x4 tour price at 65JD for the entire family whereas other tours we saw were priced around that per person. He had a Toyota 4x4 which also provided shade whereas some 4x4s we saw had no shade cover.Saleh welcomed us into his majlis with Arabic coffee, tea and dates. His son then toured us around Wadi Rum at our own pace (we took our time in some parts and were quick in other parts of the tour). His son explained some of the significance of some of the areas (e.g. Lawrence springs, house, Arabic inscriptions). His son played with my kids (e.g. running up rocks without using hands, running down sand dunes, made make up with chalk stones) and finished the tour with an amazing sun set view. The evening was finished with a delicious home cooked dinner by Saleh’s wife of Chicken Maqloub with rice and vegetables. The meal was even half the price of what my other tour was offering.Saleh went above and beyond, practically acting like a travel operator for us: Saleh helped with arranging a taxi transfer from Petra to his camp in Wadi Rum. He then dropped us off to our night campsite with a different operator (which was pre-booked). Saleh helped arrange a transfer the next morning from Wadi Rum to Dead Sea. He also helped arrange a driver to take us around the Dead Sea and Amman area for around 8 hours. Finally, his contacts were also used from our Dead Sea Resort hotel to the airport. All his transfer recommendations were much cheaper than what the hotels that we were staying with in each location were quoting. At every step of the way, Saleh was fine with us getting our own independent quotes before proceeding with any of his quotes. He was always helpful and had no issues with us getting quotes elsewhere.Saleh would even check in to see if the transfers and the drivers were fine. The trip was made absolutely enjoyable with Saleh and his family’s hospitality. He helped us save a lot as Jordan excursions/transfers are not cheap. We would absolutely recommend Saleh to family, friends or anyone.

A fantastic family wadi rum adventure filled with care. The price was 65JD (which is very cheap compared to others we saw). Unlike other tours you pay for per person, but with Saleh you don’t. Saleh is very helpful genuine and kind. His son lead a perfect, fun, family friendly tour. He explained the meanings of inscriptions on the mountains, told us real Bedouin stories, showed us how to climb the mountains without our hands and took us to the place places with great views. Also he didn’t rush us. The car was comfortable and smooth unlike other 4x4s we experienced there. Saleh and his family were very kind, friendly and hospitable. They gave delicious dates, drinks, Arabic coffee and sage tea. Saleh’s wife was fantastic and made amazing mouthwatering traditional Jordanian makloub (chicken and grilled vegetables with rice). Saleh went above and beyond by booking us a nice taxis to his place, to our next hotel and tailor made day trip tour. His taxis were cheaper than all the other taxi quotes we got from our other hotels. Overall it was an amazing experience with Saleh. I rate him 10 out of 10 and I am happy to recommend him to anyone.

We had the most fantastic experience on this tour! We are a couple who travelled to Jordan from the UK with our two sons aged 7 and 9 years old. We did the 1 day tour of Wadi Rum with an overnight stay in the tent. The jeep was a really fun (if quite bumpy at times!) way to see the spectacular desert landscape. We felt so welcome and well looked-after at all times. The food provided (picnic lunch, dinner and breakfast) was all excellent. The children enjoyed playing in the sand outside the tent and then watching the beautiful sunset and spotting shooting stars in the sky once it was dark. The booking process and contact via WhatsApp was clear and helpful, and there were no hidden costs. If you are planning to visit Wadi Rum then look no further than Saleh’s tour, you won’t be disappointed!

Just as we said farewell to Saleh and the campsite, my oldest son said "5 STARS!" Enough said.Saleh and his family made us feel right at home from the moment we pulled up to his house. Alia served us delicious homecooked meals and lovely sage tea (she generously gave me some to take home since my kids loved it!) and their oldest son Moz took us on a tour of Wadi Rum which included a lot of climbing and exploring. We also booked a camel tour to the sand dune which was a great experience! Moz was thoughtful enough to stop and let us enjoy the sunset too.I had mentioned to Saleh that it was my husband's birthday the night we were staying and he went out of his way to buy him a personalized birthday cake which they surprised him with after dinner. We were so touched by their kindness and hospitality. Saleh has thought about it all -- he made a small campfire at night and brought out marshmallows so my kids could enjoy some before bed. He has even built a sandbox and swing for children to play! It is truly the perfect place to stay for families. For my 3 young children, they said staying at this campsite in Wadi Rum and meeting Saleh and his family was their highlight and favorite part of our Jordan trip (it even beat the nice Dead Sea resort!) It was important to us that we support local family businesses and I appreciate that Saleh has no hidden costs unlike a lot of other "campsites."Look no further and stay here! Thank you Saleh and his family for everything!

This was our 2nd visit of Jordan and like our first visit we travelled Wadi Rum with Saleh. And the experience was amazing. Definitely one of the best person to visit Wadi Run with. A local person who knows the area very well. We mainly wild camped in different locations of Wadi Rum. Saleh's wife cooks local food fresh home make and delicious. It was a great experience and we enjoyed a lot. If we go back, we will no doubt again visit Wadi Run with Saleh. Very highly recommended. And if you are a photographer, he is the man for you. Because he can arrange what a photographer would look for. Adding some of my favourite night images I have captured during our stay.If you want to see more of out experience of Jordan, look up at our Jordan short film.https://youtu.be/TLdkQ9rQSgI?si=cvBNxyI0hZaFhXF2

Spending the night with Saleh and his wife in the WadiRum desert is a wonderful, unforgettable experience, you can fully taste the life of the Bedouins. The owners do everything to make the guests happy. Food delicious! In February, the nights are cold and there is sometimes no hot water, but it is a desert after all. I highly recommend Saleh's Camp!

Authentic and Beautiful! We spent 1 day and 1 night at Saleh's camp and it was everything we wanted. When we first arrived we felt right at home as we were welcomed into their house for tea and snacks.Did a short 1 hour tour and then we were treated to an amazing homemade lunch from Saleh's wife. After lunch Saleh's oldest son took us on a 6 hour adventure around Wadi Rum and all the sights, most of them we ended up having to ourselves. After the tour we were brought back to camp, first impressions are always something and this place did not disappoint. Our room was a 2 person Bedouin cabin with a small window with a huge view.Saleh has multiple buildings for small to large groups and everything in-between.Please note this is not the giant companies with domes and A/C and pools, Saleh's camp is a family run business and is more authentic with simple rooms and great views. After check in we went to an amazing sunset spot, then we were called for another home cooked meal.. Spectacular. Our night was filled with drum lessons and conversation by the fire.I highly recommend it.

I can’t wait to go back one day! Saleh and his family were lovely hosts. We did the “Behind the Veil” women tour and had a fantastic time. It was lovely sharing stories and learning more about each others cultures and lives. Saleh and his family went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. I injured myself before my trip, and Saleh helped us find fun opportunities that I could still do with my injury. Their family showed so much kindness and genuinely cared that we had a full and positive trip. The accommodations were comfortable and the food was some of the best we had our whole trip!

Saleh welcomed us in the best possible way, introducing us to his family and offering us tea. We then planned the one-day desert tour during which his son guided us. The tour was comprehensive and exciting; in fact, we got to see and do more things than initially planned. Furthermore, during the tour, there was also the opportunity to stop at various tents of other Bedouins who always offered us tea and coffee for free, and with whom we had various interesting conversations. In the evening, we arrived at the desert camp and ate with Saleh and his family (excellent food), then we talked at length around the fire while continuing to drink tea. Saleh proved to be accommodating to every one of our requests.I highly recommend this tour, which is both comprehensive from a tourist perspective and respectful of the Bedouin way of life.Furthermore, Saleh's transparency regarding the costs is another great asset. We agreed on the tour and the number of nights, and the price was clear from the start. We weren't asked for any extra money beyond what we had agreed upon. All the various teas and coffees were always offered. It was an excellent experience, highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mr. Saleh’s Wadi Rum Desert Camp, and it was an unforgettable experience. The accommodations were comfortable, blending seamlessly with the desert surroundings. Their hospitality was exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and provided valuable insights into the local culture. The culinary offerings surpassed my expectations. The variety and taste of the food showcased the camp's commitment to providing a delightful dining experience. Additionally, they were accommodating to dietary preferences. The camp's organized excursions and activities allowed me to explore Wadi Rum's mesmerizing landscapes fully. From sunset spot to stargazing, each experience was well-planned, adding to the magic of the desert. The cleanliness of the camp, including the tents and communal areas, was commendable. The bathroom facilities were well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay.In terms of value for money, I felt the overall experience justified the cost. The camp's dedication to creating a genuine and immersive desert adventure made it a worthwhile investment. Finally, the camp's accessibility, though within the remote desert, was well-managed.Wadi Rum Desert Camp exceeded my expectations, offering a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and cultural immersion. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and enriching desert experience.A big thanks to Mr. Saleh and his family to make our vacation unforgettable.

It was unique. Each minute of your visit, you can feel that it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you want to be in the middle of the desert all alone while watching the endless sky with stars like diamonds, infinite silence of the night and the darkness, and also want to feel safe and comfortable, you should definitely come to this place. Mr.Saleh and his welcoming family led us to have unforgettable memories of Wadi Rum. They even organised a birthday party for us (with a very delicious cake and an Arabic chorus). They are very nice people and their camp is perfectly located, under the shade of a huge mountain which gives you a shelter against the fiercesun. Dear Mr Saleh thank you very much for everything and warmest greetings from Istanbul.

My stay in the camp run by Saleh, Alia, and their family was a truly enriching experience. They welcomed me warmly into their home and their camp, making me feel incredibly comfortable as a solo female traveller. One highlight of my trip was the memorable 4x4 tour led by Moaaz. He took me to all the must-visit spots in the desert, prepared a delicious vegetarian lunch, and ensured we reached the perfect spot to witness a breath-taking sunset over Wadi Rum. Moaaz even allowed me to take the wheel, which added an exciting touch to the adventure. What made this experience stand out for me was the opportunity to connect with a local family. It was refreshing to share a meal with the women of the family, learn about their culture, and engage in meaningful conversations. It offered a unique perspective that went beyond the typical tourist experience. This camp provided an authentic and welcoming environment to immerse myself in the local culture. I cherished every moment and genuinely look forward to returning. Shukran!

The best experience in Jordan. The owners are very kind, attentive, real hosts. Sleeping in the desert next to a fire is an amazing experience. The hostess was on top of the task with the food that was too small for us. We felt the true spirit of Bedouin families. We played football with their children on the sand, wonderful and beautiful children. I wish the family much health and happiness.

In September 2022, my wife and I spent two days and nights in Wadi Rum with Saleh’s family. It was an incredible experience, which we highly recommend to anyone, who wishes for some adventure and appreciates a family-like atmosphere. I think we got to know the whole family and they all were very kind and caring. We spent both days doing some hiking together with Saleh’s cousin Hussein (visiting some springs, walking through the desert, climbing up to the rock bridges). The first night, we stayed at Saleh’s camp but the second night, we slept in the wild desert. Saleh and his wife built a small private camp, just for us, out in the middle of Wadi Rum. We had a delicious dinner made over a small fire, experienced a beautiful sunset and a night sky that we’ll always remember. Even though we had a full moon rising quite early, the milky way was spectacular. We can only imagine what it must be like when the conditions are prefect!Getting in touch with Saleh was easy. We first wrote an email and later we talked with him via WhatsApp. We discussed our wishes and put together a plan for the two days of our stay. Later, while we were already traveling in Jordan, he checked back in with us and then we were ready to go. Saleh is an honest man, who sticks to his word. We never received a “booking confirmation”-email or similar for the date or the price. While talking on the phone, he made it clear what the price is (exactly like written on his website). There were no hidden costs and we only payed at the end of our stay.We were always provided with enough water and food so we did not have to worry about that. In our case, staying with Saleh meant getting a private tour through Wadi Rum, since we were the only guests during those two days (Saleh’s camp is small compared to other camps with lots of tourists). When you visit Saleh’s camp, do not expect luxury, but be prepared for a warm welcome and an unforgettable adventure. Bring an open heart and curiosity for this incredible culture and you might find yourself planning your next trip back to this magical desert 😉 Once again, we highly recommend staying with Saleh and his family in Wadi Rum. We are forever grateful for the unforgettable memories we made while staying with them, and hope to be back one day.Bruno and Fanni

We had a great wadi Rum tour with salah son - moiz. Fantastic service. My family thoroughly enjoyed it. We did a 3 hour sunset tour, my fault we arrived late due to a tyre puncture but salah was still accommodating and made it work. He even offered to pick me up from the motorway if I was unable to change the puncture when I called him toTell him I would be late.Loved all of it, highlight was watching sun go down, we stopped off all highlights and had plenty of timeSo photos, we ended with a loverly cooked evening dinner which salah arranged in his camp, prepared by his wife.Would recommend not just with salah but everyone who goes to Jordan is to use whats app, that seems to be the default way of communicating with everyone in Jordan even the car rental company used what app to communicate drop off details

We are a family of 5 with 3 young kids and recently stayed with Saleh and his family at their camp in Wadi Rum. We were driven around for the whole day by his son Muath, who was extremely patient and very enthusiastic about giving us all the time possible to experience the different locations. They provided us with lunch packs to eat on the go so we can maximize our time in the desert. By sunset, we drove towards the camp and Muath stopped at a perfect stop to watch the sunset. At the camp, we met the rest of the family and had a wonderful home-made dinner that was prepared by his wife. The camp was beautiful and very quiet and the view was gorgeous. Saleh was very enthusiastic to share all the plans he has for the camp and show us around. We were sad to leave the camp and the family that we felt we had become a part of. We hope to go back again to stay with them the nest time we are in Wadi Rum. This is a wonderful place that will leave you very content both visually and emotionally. I urge you to give it a try the next time you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed!

We cannot say enough about what a great experience we had at Saleh’s Safari Camp. We had the pleasure of being the first people to enjoy Saleh’s new suite (it has an in suite bathroom). Unforgettable experience! We were a group of girlfriends travelling in Jordan and our time with Saleh and his family in the Wadi Rum was the most incredible part of our trip. During the day his son drove us around the desert to the best hotspots, and we spent the evenings with Saleh's wife Alia, the most welcoming and generous person you could ever hope to meet, who showed us her Bedouin lifestyle and amazing cooking. The camp is comfortable and otherworldly at the same time. We really loved our time there - thank you Saleh so much !

Great experience as first-time visitors in Wadi Rum. Due to itinerary constraints, we could only fit a 3-hour tour in our schedule, but it was well worth it. Communication prior to the tour via Whatsapp was very smooth and easy, and they did not ask for pre-payment of any form. Saleh sent us a location in the Wadi Rum Village to meet, where we parked our rental car at his house. We were greeted by his family upon arrival, and offered tea and coffee while waiting for him. The vehicle was very nice and in good condition, it was a Toyota pick-up with a bench in the back to enjoy the desert views. The tour was beautiful, Saleh drove us to the main desert sights and provided historical context to understand the Wadi Rum as a place of passage. We particularly enjoyed the Red Sand Dunes, the Khazali Canyon and the Special Canyon hike. We found the bridges to be very touristy and not that worth it. I’d definitely recommend them for a Wadi Rum tour!

Tour of Wadi Rum with Saleh and his family was one of the best experiences we had in Jordan. We opted for the one day tour with sleeping in Saleh's desert camp, which was for a very reasonable price. We spent the whole day driving through the desert, hiking various mountains and dunes, exploring canyons and sandboarding. It was an unforgettable adventure for us.During the day we had lunch in the middle of the desert and delicious dinner in the camp. To add to this experience, we returned to the village on camels the next day, which was another unique experience for us.Thanks to Saleh and his family, we had a great day and would gladly come back any time 🙂

An amazing and authentic experience with Saleh and his family. From the very beginning we felt like part of the family. Incredible home cooked traditional food, a beautiful camp in a quite area of the desert up against the rocks (comfy bed, bathroom and showers), an incredible day long tour with his son in the desert. Saleh also helped us with transportation, put us in touch with contacts of his for other parts of our trip and went out of his way to help us with bus tickets. Outstanding experience!

We have spent in Saleh’s place 2 days and 2 nights. First of all if you want to support the local people and family businesses, this is a place for you. Saleh’s wife prepared for us very tadty breakfasts and dinners. We did the jeep travels with Saleh’s son and brother. Both of them were very professional. We did with Saleh’s son the standard tour in Wadi Rum, he also let me drive the jeep. We succeeded the next day to hike to Jabal Umm ad Dami with Saleh’s brother who is a great guide. He also took us to the non touristic places which were great. He also cooked for us in the middle of the desert. We really recommend Saleh’s place for his kindness, hospitality, openness, and for keeping all the promises we agreed on. If you don’t like very touristic places, who want you just to come and go as soon as possible, and like the authentic places, you should definitely choose his place. If you think about the price, keep in mind that here you don’t pay any extras. It’s a all inclusive option with no extras and hidden costs. You get as much water as you want.

Saleh’s camp is the best experience I had in Jordan! It is a real authentic Bedouin experience. The price we paid was very reasonable for a fully package. We arrived way earlier than expected but Saleh’s family were generous enough to offer us lunch at their home, before going on a safari tour with his son to the best spots in Wadi Rum. Their camp and the night stars were amazing! Great place for families, friends, or couples!! This is really the best experience I had in Jordan.

Saleh and his family took us in like we were their own daughters. More than just a tour, they offered a family experience, all the while seeing the famous sites throughout Wadi Rum, learning some history, enjoying fantastic food, marveling at the brilliant desert night-sky, and riding a camel (an extra expense, but must-do if it's your first time -- there is no better setting).Saleh was very clear and timely in his communication leading up to our visit. I highly recommend him, especially for unaccompanied female travelers.

My husband and I booked a 4x4 tour and stayed in Saleh’s camp. It was one of our best experience in our life the camp is well equipped and comfortable. Saleh’s son Moaz took us on a tour with one of their 4x4 car which we enjoyed very much Moaz is the best tour guide in Wadi Rum he took us all of the nice places what Wadi Rum can offer and told us every story about the local places and the people. After we had a really nice meal cooked by Saleh’s wife and watched the sunset which is the best to look from the benches by the camp. Thank you very much will never forget.

Amazing, local experience with Saleh and his family. You won't be disappointed - this is a fantastic choice for your Wadi Rum adventures. Saleh and his wife, Alia, and their son, Moaz, are warm and welcoming. They treat you like family and give you a real taste of the Bedouin life in the desert. Alia cooks delicious food (vegetarian options available, just let them know in advance). I always had enough to eat, and I'm a big eater. The tea and coffee are also wonderful, especially with the goat's milk! The beds are comfortable and you can even take your bed outside and sleep under the stars - see the incredible night sky filled with stars! The bathrooms are clean and have Western style toilets, and there is warm water. There are also power outlets to charge your electronics. If you have any doubt about which camp to stay in, I am confident you would have a positive experience with Saleh and his family. We loved our experience and keep in touch with Saleh even now. Also, Saleh can arrange tours to Saudi Arabia. We hope to try a trip with him there soon.

Thank you very much, Saleh and Alia, for welcoming us into your camp. You made us feel like family! Thank you for cooking delicious vegetarian meals for the five of us. The camel ride was safe and unforgettable. Your handsome son, Moaz, gave us a great full-day tour of the nearby stunning sites; cooked a meal for our leisurely lunch as we relaxed in the cool shade, and timed it perfectly to close our day with a spectacular sunset experience. We will long remember sleeping outside under the starry, desert sky. Blessings on you and your family. We will treasure our very fond memories of being with you all.

We have spent 4 days / 3 nights in Salach's Wadi Rum camp. Salach and his wife Aliya are an amazing family. They haven't stopped making us feel like home, taking care of all our needs. The girls in our 2 families group had a unique experience while seating with Aliya, learning about various Beduin culture issues regarding the life of the Bedouin womens Salach has organized everything, starting with sending a taxi driver for picking us up from the border, organizing all the day trips in Wadi Rum, jeep tour, hiking, and Camel back ridind, arranging transposition to Petra, and back to Aqaba. All the time with a genuine smile. We really felt like part of the family. Definitely I recommend Salach for your trips to Wadi Rum.

My family group of four had a wonderful experience with Saleh and his family and I highly recommend Saleh’s Safari Camp.I was looking for a local company that I could book with direct (not through a booking site or an agent). Saleh’s website accurately describes the tours and stays he offers and the prices - there is nothing hidden. We opted to take a camel ride out into the desert before being picked up by a family member for a memorable ride in the back of a pick up truck. The driver took us to all the best places (along with tourists with other operators) and then let us get on with it. In other words we had the best balance of a guide and freedom. The camp is perfect: basic, but comfortable and clean. Saleh’s wife cooked us a delicious meal and breakfast the next day. There were just two other family groups staying and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. We took our children aged 14 and 13 and this is perfect for adventurous teenagers.

A flawless communication from the middle of the night ensuring all the corners of customer expectations have been taken care off. Starting from a homely welcome with traditional food, followed by a supersonic drive through the rocky desert of wadirum, a thrilling over night stay in freezing temperatures in Bedwin Camp with all possible comfort. Lastly a self driven see off till the exit after an appetizing breakfast. What more one should expect in the middle of the desert, it will be unfair if I don't mention his family involvement to make our 24 hours stay as memorable as possible. A continuous effort from his wife Inspite of the language barrier to ensure all our requirements are fulfilled on time, specially a home made delicious dinner with some local music made the evening even more memorable..I would highly recommend to contact Mr Saleh and his family for an astonishing experience of Wadi RumAmbar Ray and family

It's genuinely hard to express how good our trip to Wadi Rum with Saleh and his family was.We arrived late and were welcomed with tea and smiles at Saleh's House in Wadi Rum village before being taken to the camp for a delicious meal cooked by his lovely wife Alia - her cooking is worth a trip in itself!Guiding during our trip was done by a combination of Saleh, his eldest son Moaaz and his brother Atiyek, all were outstanding - thoughtful, knowledgeable, friendly and perhaps most importantly, fun to spend time with! The trip was carefully tailored to our needs. Knowing that I had a particular interest in wildlife they were all careful to point out any plants or animals of interest and took us to some of the less visited areas of Wadi Rum where the wildlife is more abundant. Atiyek in particular has an excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area and it was fascinating to spend a day with him.Overall our trip ended up feeling more like visiting friends than tourism and we were truly welcomed into Saleh's home and way of life. If you want to experience Wadi Rum in a way that makes you feel a part of it then I would absolutely reccomend Saleh and Wadi Rum Safari Tours.

Saleh was really welcoming and friendly. Nothing was rushed, he took his time to take us to the best spots. Ride was very bumpy and shaky in the jeep, but I believe that is to be expected on the Wadi Rum desert terrain. Got some excellent photos Great experience, great value for money too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our jeep tour with Wadi Rum Tours. Saleh was friendly, accommodating and shared a wealth of knowledge on Wadi Rum. He even helped us out with taking some amazing photos ?Wadi Rum Tours offer private tours for groups at a very reasonable price. This suited us perfectly as it meant we could set off at a time that aligned with our packed schedule, and move at our own pace.It was also a pleasure meeting Saleh’s family. They were all incredibly warm and friendly, and you could tell they were just excited for us to share in their culture. We look forward to returning and visiting Saleh’s and the family again (hopefully soon!)

What a wonderful place! Stayed several nights here; Saleh and his family are great hosts, wonderful food, the tours were both relaxing and spectacular. This camp has no neighbors close by, and is very very quiet. The stars are bright at night. Staying here is like visiting family.
SPECIAL OFFER -- for children and families
Our price structure is designed for travelers with children -- we charge the same touring costs for a family of five or one person on their own!! And second, Saleh has his own children and knows what they need and enjoy: the film set of the Lawrence of Arabia movie, camp fires, sleeping outside and space for adventure.
Kids love sand dunes, clambering up them and rolling down. Rum has some of the biggest they've ever seen. Getting close to animals; riding through the desert.
Collecting dead wood for campfires, overnighting in a bedouin tent, copying ancient cave drawings; exploring and discovering. Wadi Rum is a safe and hugely stimulatiing environment for children and families, just having fun being there together.
