Those most adept at living in harmony with Rum's harsh and unforgiving realities are some of the bedouin who depend on sustaining the systems for their survival. Saleh's brother, Atiyek, is an expert trekker and tracker, knowing the bedouin ways of Rum, the plants and creatures they depend on and where to find them.
Share some of this knowledge; walk where few visitors ever go; see the tracks of shy snakes and lizards; taste the desert zarta; or the wild figs, or olives or habbuq, clinging to life around mountain springs; perhaps even glimpse rarer creatures on the edge of extinction here (wolves, hyenas, ibex, oryx) and passing birds of prey, in this most memorable of desert landscapes.
If you are an expert in arid-land flora and fauna you'll know more than Atiyek but he knows more about what Rum can offer and where and when. Share and pool your knowledge and have an unforgettable experience seeing things no-one else gets close to in locations no-one else will find.

after Wadi Rum
here's the perfect way to remember or celebrate Wadi Rum. We call the stones 'desert pearls' and they're hidden beneath some of the sandstone cliffs, washed out by seasonal showers; we're working with RSCN Jordan rockingjewellery.com
